As a Mom with a busy schedule, I often turn to slow cooker recipes in order to get a home-cooked meal on my dinner table. I know that most slow cooker meals feature protein from big cuts of meat, plus vitamins, minerals, and fiber from plenty of veggies and beans, which are things I look for in a dinner.

But this collection of crockpot dinners goes even one step further, ensuring a serving contains at least 30 grams of protein or more. I select recipes from this list often for my weekly meal plans and easy weekend dinners to ensure my family is meeting our protein needs in a delicious real-food way.

Four crockpot tacos al pastor on a plate.

Crockpot Tacos Al Pastor

Dietitian Jess created this al pastor pork, which is a high protein crockpot recipe featuring shredded meat. It’s ultra flavorful, providing sweet, savory, tangy, and spicy notes in every bite. She uses the meat to make tacos al pastor or to layer over rice bowls, salads, or stuff inside burritos. It’s good any way it’s served!
