Start your day with a Margarita Green Smoothie packed with protein, vitamin C, and sunny beach vibes
You don’t have to blow out a flip-flop or step on a pop top to have an excuse to blend up this frozen concoction.
This Margarita Green Smoothie is packed with vitamins A and C and potassium and packs a good dose of fiber as well. Bonus points for the fact that it’s also cool, refreshing and a nice change from banana-based green smoothies.
This has become my g0-to when it comes to smoothies lately. It takes just minutes to make and with the addition of a scoop of collagen peptides (omit for vegan), a little avocado, and some hemp hearts, it gives me 18g of protein and 10g of fat to balance out the sugars naturally occurring in the fruit, greens, and coconut water.
Protein, fiber, healthy fats and more
I already mentioned the protein and fat but I’d be shortchanging you if I didn’t also mention that this smoothie is a potassium-packed powerhouse thanks to the coconut water, spinach, avocado, and cucumber. It also meets your daily needs for vitamin C which along with collagen peptides can support skin and immune system health.
By the way, if you’re new to collagen peptides you can learn more about why we use them here.
And when the week is done and you’re ready to kick back and relax, try omitting the avocado and adding a little tequila for a grown-up green smoothie with health benefits and a little change in attitude at any latitude.
