From the five we have tasted, they are all incredible and exactly what we would want in a glass of wine from the flavor, aroma, and overall sippy experience. Listed are the five Erath pinots that we have tried and love to help make your decision a little easier.
- Pinot Noir Oregon Tier – Classic Oregon aromas of black cherry, plum, and currant mingle with hints of anise and sandalwood.
- Pinot Gris Oregon Tier – Aromatic and fruit-forward, scents of key lime, Anjou pear, juicy melon, anise, and a faint pine introduce this Alsatian-style Pinot Gris.
- Willakia Pinot Noir – Comforting wafts of blackberry cobbler, Bing cherry, and blueberry are invitingly intertwined with fragrant vanilla and caramel.
- La Nuit Magique Pinot Noir – Dark and sensuous aromas of plum, blackberry, sandalwood, damp earth, and a whisper of caramel offers a provocative introduction.
- Le Jour Magique White Pinot Noir – Spun gold in the glass, with bright aromas of Meyer lemon, starfruit, yellow plum, and wafts of shortbread.

Ingredients for Honey Whipped Goat Cheese with Pomegranate
This recipe comes together quickly and with just a few simple ingredients. Grab a glass of wine and let’s get cooking. Here is what you’ll need:
- Goat cheese – plain goat cheese works best in this recipe. You’ll want to soften it to room temperature prior to making the goat cheese dip. Simply set it on the counter 1-2 hours before making the recipe.
- Cream cheese – to lighten up this recipe, feel free to use reduced-fat cream cheese. Like the goat cheese, you’ll want to be sure it is softened to room temperature.
- Honey – honey adds a touch of sweetness and a nice subtle flavor. We love using local honey from our bee farmer friends. Did you know that depending on the time of year, local honey will vary in color and thickness? Now you can certainly use store-bought honey in this recipe as well.
- Pomegranate seeds – adds a burst of fruity flavor to the whipped goat cheese and makes for a pretty presentation that fits the Holiday theme.
- Pecans – toasted pecans add a nutty flavor and nice crunch to the goat cheese dip.
- Fresh herbs – the addition of fresh herbs not only adds beautiful color but also adds a delicious and earthy flavor to the recipe. We recommend topping the dip with fresh rosemary or thyme or a mix.
- Crackers or bread for serving – feel free to serve the dip with whatever you like. Some ideas include your favorite crackers, slices of french baguette, pretzels, or apple slices.
Can Honey Whipped Goat Cheese be prepared a day or two in advance?
Yes, absolutely! It’s always helpful to have a couple of recipes that can be made ahead of when cooking for a Holiday meal. Honey Whipped Goat Cheese Dip can be made a day or two in advance.
Simply whip together the goat cheese, cream cheese, and honey and store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. You can also toast the pecans and store them in an airtight container or zip-top bag.
Remove the whipped goat cheese from the refrigerator an hour before you plan to serve it as it’s best to be served at room temperature. Transfer it to a serving platter and top with the toasted pecans, pomegranate seed, fresh herb, and drizzle of honey. Serve with crackers, slices of french baguette, apple slices, or pretzels.
