Servings: 4-6 servings 1x
Ingredients
- 3 lbs chicken wings or about 36 pieces (flats and/or drummies), thaw if frozen
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
OPTIONAL: After they are air fried, you can eat the wings plain or toss them with any favorite sauce, such as buffalo sauce, BBQ sauce, a dry rub, or a simple mix of minced garlic and grated Parmesan cheese.
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400℉.
- Spread the wings out on paper towels and pat dry.
- Place the wings in a large bowl and toss with the baking powder and salt.
- Working in batches, place the wings in an even, single layer in the preheated air fryer basket. Note: I typically cook 12-15 wings at a time, but this will depend on the size of your air fryer. Don’t overcrowd the wings in the basket.
- Air fry for 10 minutes.
- After the 10 minutes, using a pair of tongs or a fork, turn over each wing in the air fryer basket. Close the air fryer and fry for another 8 minutes or until crispy and lightly golden brown.
- Remove cooked wings from the air fryer and place in a bowl to toss with buffalo sauce or any desired sauce or dry rub. I recommend starting with ¼ cup sauce and adding more as needed.
- Repeat to make more batches until all wings are cooked.
Notes
Serve with dipping sauces and veggies of your choice. I always opt for celery sticks, carrots, pepper slices, and a Homemade Buffalo Wing Sauce or Homemade Ranch.
