Watermelon Lime Mocktail With Electrolytes

This sweet-and-salty mocktail is just the thing to help you hydrate on a hot summer day or after a sweaty workout. It contains a good mix of three electrolytes and checks the boxes for a fun drink with health benefits!

Prep: 5 minutesTotal: 5 minutes
Servings: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

  • 4 cups cubed seedless watermelon
  • Ice cubes
  • Unflavored sparkling water (such as San Pelligrino or Perrier)
  • 1 packet LMNT electrolyte powder* (we use the watermelon flavor)
  • 2 medium limes
  • For garnish: fresh mint, watermelon, lime slices

Instructions

  1. To make the watermelon juice: In a blender, blend the watermelon chunks until liquified. Then pour through a strainer to remove any chunks. You’ll get 2 to 2½ cups of juice.
  2. Fill each of four drinking glasses ¾ full with ice cubes.
  3. Divide the watermelon juice among glasses, pouring about ½ cup into each.
  4. Add a splash of sparkling water to each one to almost fill the glasses.
  5. Add a squeeze of lime juice to each glass (about 1 tablespoon per glass).
  6. Divide the packet of LMNT electrolyte between the four glasses; stir until dissolved.
  7. For garnish, add a round lime slice,  small watermelon wedge, and/or sprig of mint to each glass.

Notes

* LMNT is a salty electrolyte powder that we love and use often. Our favorite flavor to use in this mocktail is the watermelon flavor. You can get a free flavor sample pack with any LMNT purchase, which includes 8 drink mix flavors (a great way to discover your favorite).
