TERIYAKI SAUCE: - COCONUT AMINOS - WATER - HONEY (omit for Whole30) - GARLIC - FRESH GINGER - SESAME OIL - CORN STARCH (arrowroot starch for Whole30) MIXED WITH WATER
MEATBALLS - AVOCADO OIL - GREEN ONIONS - LEAN GROUND BEEF - HOMEMADE TERIYAKI SAUCE - SALT & PEPPER
Place a skillet over medium heat. Add the oil, swirl to coat, once hot add the green onions (sliced) and cook for 5 minutes to soften.
In a bowl, combine ground beef, sauteed green onions, 3 tablespoons homemade teriyaki suace, salt & pepper. Mix well.
Form the meat mixture into 30 meatballs (about 2 tablespoons each) and place on baking sheet. Bake for 13-15 minutes or until cooked through.
Transfer meatballs to large bowl and gently toss with remaining teriyaki sauce.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds, thinly sliced green onion tops, and thin strips of peeled and coiled carrots for garnish.
