In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and lemon zest. Add butter and mix until the dough is crumbly. Knead together until dough ball forms.

Remove lemon bars from baking dish, cut off outer 1/8-inch edge on all four sides, then cut into 16 squares and serve.
