For the Meatballs: - ground beef - cooked lentils - onion - egg - garlic cloves - ground cumin - dried ginger - chili powder - salt - pepper - avocado oil or olive oil

In a large bowl, combine all meatball ingredients. Use your hands to mix together until well combined. Form into 20 meatballs.

STEP 1:

Heat 1 tablespoon oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add meatballs, cook for 5-6 minutes.

STEP 2:

In bowl, combine all sauce ingredients. Gently turn meatballs over in pan, pour sauce over meatballs and cook another 15 minutes.

STEP 3:

In a small bowl combine cornstarch and 1 tablespoon water. Stir into sauce to thicken. Return to a low simmer and let sit until thickened.

STEP 4:

Remove from heat, serve saucy beef meatballs over couscous or rice. Garnish with fresh cilantro, if desired.
