In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Fold in bread cubes and let rest for 5-10 minutes. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, pour into the slow cooker, and cook on HIGH.

For the optional berry sauce, cook frozen berries and maple syrup in a covered saucepan over medium heat. Simmer uncovered , mash the berries, and stir in vanilla and salt.
