For the Chocolate Icing: - powdered sugar - unsweetened cocoa powder - vanilla extract - milk - toppings of choice: crushed almonds, shredded coconut, freeze-fried strawberries, sprinkles, etc.

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, melted butter, almond butter, and vanilla.

STEP 1:

Sift in the cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.

STEP 2:

Divide batter among 6 donut cavities in sprayed donut pan. Smooth tops with spoon.

STEP 3:

Bake for 12-15 minutes or until toothpick inserted into donut comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing.

STEP 4:

Mix together icing ingredients. To add icing to donut, turn cooled donut upside down, dip in chocolate icing, smooth with back of spoon. Add toppings of choice.
