+ old fashioned rolled oats + chia seeds + cinnamon + baking powder + salt + maple syrup or honey + applesauce + eggs + milk of choice + butter or coconut oil + vanilla extract + shredded apples + chopped walnuts
In a bowl combine the oats, chia seeds, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, maple syrup, applesauce, eggs, milk, butter, and vanilla. Stir.
Fold in the shredded apples and chopped walnuts.
Pour baked oatmeal batter into a baking dish. Top with additional chopped apples, cinnamon, and walnuts.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the center is set. Let sit for 10 minutes before serving.
