Crispy air fryer chicken wings

CHICKEN WINGS: - chicken wings, 'flats', and 'drummies' - baking powder - salt BUFFALO SAUCE: - Frank's Red Hot Original Sauce - ghee or coconut oil - coconut aminos - apple cider vinegar - garlic powder - cayenne pepper (optional)

INGREDIENTS

Spread the wings out on paper towels and pat dry. Place wings in bowl and toss with baking powder and salt.

STEP 1:

Working in batches, place wings in even layer in preheated air fryer basket. Air fry for 10 minutes.

STEP 2:

Turn over each wing in air fryer basket, close, and air fry for 8 minutes more. Remove from air fryer, place in a bowl.

STEP 3:

Working in batches, place wings in even layer in preheated air fryer basket. Air fry for 10 minutes.

STEP 4:

TO MAKE BUFFALO SAUCE: Place a small saucepan over medium heat. Add all ingredients to saucepan. Once melted, whisk to combine.

STEP 5:

Pour 1/4 cup buffalo sauce over air fried chicken wings in bowl, toss to evenly coat.

STEP 6:

Alternatively, enjoy these air fried chicken wings without the heat of buffalo sauce and enjoy with any BBQ sauce, any dry rub, or a simple mix of minced garlic and grated Parmesan cheese (pictured below).
