LIVE Kombucha Culture Cola replaces regular cola in this Colorado Bulldog Kombucha Cocktail.
This means you can still enjoy this classic cocktail without all of the added sugars, artificial sweeteners & flavors, and unpronounceable ingredients!
I was recently introduced to LIVE Kombucha and when I discovered the flavor options, I instantly started brainstorming potential recipe creations. The flavors of this particular Kombucha are inspired by well-known soda flavors such as, Coca-Cola, Dr. Pepper, orange, lemon-lime, root beer, etc. What’s missing in the LIVE Kombucha that’s found in typical soda, is all of the sugar, artificial flavors & colorings, artificial sweeteners, and unpronounceable ingredients. That’s right, you won’t find any of those unnecessary ingredients in LIVE Kombucha! So instead of 45 grams of sugar in 12 ounce of soda, which also includes high fructose corn-syrup (yikes!), you’ll only find 13 grams of organic sugar in 12 ounces of kombucha. In addition, all of the ingredients in LIVE Kombucha are pronounceable, raw, organic and contains 6+ billion probiotic organisms per bottle.
Folks, this is a much MUCH healthier option and a perfect soda replacement, especially if you’re trying to kick a soda habit.
This Colorado Bulldog Kombucha Cocktail is where it’s at!
Colorado Bulldogs were always a favorite cocktail of mine. This drink contains vodka, coffee liqueur, cream and little did I know at the time, that sugary cola was also a main ingredient. So when I found that out, it was a definite buzzkill (no pun intended) and drink I decided to retire. However, face forward a few years to the now and my discovery that LIVE Kombucha has a cola flavor, I instantly was inspired to re-create this favorite cocktail of mine. And that’s how the Colorado Bulldog Kombucha Cocktail was born! All thanks to LIVE Beverages!
Make this Colorado Bulldog Kombucha Cocktail dairy-free if you wish.
While I prefer half-and-half or heavy cream in this recipe for the creaminess aspect, if you’re wanting to make this dairy-free or a vegan-friendly option, simply substitute the half-and-half or cream for almond milk creamer such as Califia Farms, New Barn or Nutpods. All three of these are tasty, dairy-free creamer options.
So what is Kombucha anyways?
Great question! Kombucha has been around for thousands of years. It is a fermented probiotic beverage and is produced by fermenting tea with a culture of yeast & bacteria (known as the Scoby) and sugar. It brews for about 7-20 days and while the kombucha is brewing/fermenting it naturally forms carbonation making it nice and fizzy. In addition, kombucha is abundant in probiotics which contain several healing and medicinal properties. Read more about the benefits of fermented foods here.
So not only is the Colorado Bulldog cocktail tasty, it comes with benefits too!
A little about LIVE BEVERAGES.
“LIVE BEVERAGES began in Austin, Texas as one man’s mission to improve the health of his family by crafting a kombucha that tastes like soda.” The founder created this kombucha in memory of his older sister who passed away due to breast cancer and in honor of his father.
