FOR THE SAUCE: tomato paste water apple cider vinegar Dijon mustard brown sugar Worcestershire sauce garlic cloves oregano chili powder smoked paprika salt & pepper

INGREDIENTS

In a small bowl, combine all rub ingredients. Rub the mixture over and into the surface of the brisket. Refrigerate for 4-24 hours.  

STEP 1:

In a medium bowl, combine all the sauce ingredients. 

STEP 2:

Select 'Sautè' function on Instant Pot. Add the oil then place brisket in the pot, laying as flat as possible.Cook for 2 minutes on each side.

STEP 3:

Pour the sauce over the brisket. Lock the lid in place, press 'high pressure' on the Instant Pot and set timer for 60 minutes.

STEP 4:

Allow 15 minutes of natural release. Remove the brisket and cover loosely with foil. Bring sauce in Instant Pot to broil with 'Sauté' mode. Cook for 13-15 minutes to thicken sauce. 

STEP 5:

Preheat the broiler. Brush the thickened sauce onto brisket. Broil for 2-3 minutes on each side. Remove from broiler and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing against the grain.

STEP 6:
